2009 SOS Executive Committee
President: Nell Fry The President is the executive officer of the Executive Committee and has general supervision of the affairs of SOS and presides at all meetings. The President represents SOS at all conferences, conventions and faculty or alumni meetings.
Vice President: Molly Mclaughlin The VP is the primary liaison between the Campaign and Project Managers and the Executive Committee. She officiates at all meetings in the President's absence, plays a primary leadership role and assists with task delegation, advocacy and other organizational responsibilities.
Treasurer: Chris Olson The Treasurer maintains records of all expenditures, organizes and manages fund-raising efforts, and ensures that generally accepted accounting practices and monetary controls are in place. He is also responsible for collecting dues during each semester that SOS is active.
Recruitment Director: Tara Byant The Recruitment Director heads up various SOS member recruitment efforts. Her mission is to welcome individuals who are new to the organization and make sure their needs are met.
Secretary: Sheri Baucom The Secretary records the proceedings of each meeting, maintains member lists and meeting attendance records and manages petitions that SOS circulates.
Social Chair: Daniel Soloway And Bernard Cook The Social Chairs arrange all group social activities and assist with inter- organizational relations. They play a vital role in member recruitment as well as networking on and off campus.
Marketing Director: Carlos Rios The marketing director oversees promotion of SOS activities including lectures, documentary screenings, meetings, workshops and other events. He also maintains the SOS website.
